Whichever MBA program format you choose, you’ll have access to the same world-class faculty, Booth’s transformative curriculum, and substantial tuition awards.

All Neubauer Civic Scholars matriculate in the fall, but application deadlines vary by program. Here’s how to apply for admission to the Civic Scholars Program.

We take a holistic approach in evaluating your candidacy for the Civic Scholars Program, taking into account every component of your application. Here’s what we look for in candidates:

• A passion for and commitment to working in the nonprofit or public sector long term
• Strong academic ability
• Intellectual curiosity
• Community involvement

The Application Process

The Chicago Booth Civic Scholars Program admission process is straightforward. We take a holistic approach in evaluating applications. Here’s how the process takes shape. For additional details, see Full-Time MBA Admissions or Part-Time MBA Admissions.

1. To apply for the Full-Time MBA Civic Scholars Program, begin your application for Round One or Round Two. In the application, navigate to the Program Information section and look for the option to select your desired program and choose "Chicago Booth Full-Time MBA - Civic Scholars Program." To apply to Civic Scholars for the Evening MBA or Weekend MBA Programs, please start the Evening MBA or Weekend MBA application for Autumn quarter, then in the Program Information section, select Civic Scholars. Please note Civic Scholars applications are only accepted for Autumn quarter.
2. Interviews are held virtually and are by invitation only. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified through the online application system, under the “Application Status” section.
3. Final admissions decisions will be made by the decision release date listed above. All applicants are informed of admissions decisions through the online application system, under the “Application Status” section.

If you are not offered admission to the Civic Scholars Program, you will still be considered for admission to Chicago Booth’s Full-Time MBA, Evening MBA, or Weekend MBA Program. Not being accepted into the Civic Scholars Program does not affect your offer of admission to Booth.
