Illinois Introduces Automatic Retirement Savings Program, a First for the Nation

Richard Thaler, a behavioral economist at the University of Chicago who works on "choice architectures" that encourage saving says in this recent New York Times article he would rather automatic paycheck deductions funding Illinois retirement accounts start at 6 percent.
