Certain Traders May Get Early Looks at S.E.C. Filings, Paper Finds

Because of a lag in posting documents to the S.E.C. site, investors that pay a subscription fee can gain access to public filings roughly 10 seconds before they are seen by the general public, according to a new academic paper by Douglas Skinner and Sarah Zechman featured in the New York Times.
